HWL Ebsworth has appointed Jeremy McCarthy as a partner in the firm's Melbourne M&A team.

McCarthy joins HWL Ebsworth from Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he worked for over 11 years in its corporate advisory practice and was made a partner in 2000.

McCarthy has advised on commercial transactions, including business sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, takeovers, schemes of arrangement, capital raisings and corporate restructures.

He has particular experience advising clients in the health sector.

McCarthy's appointment brings HWL Ebsworth's partner numbers to 136.
