Specialist people management and workplace law firm People + Culture Strategies (PCS) has appointed Kathryn Dent as a director.
Dent will join PCS officially on 1 January 2012 bringing with her experience from her previous role as a partner in Gadens Lawyers' workplace relations practice.
Joydeep Hor, PCS managing partner and founder, said Dent's values and skills complement the firm's business model, which he said is based on developing genuine partnerships with its national client base.
"Kathryn is well known for her exceptional knowledge and contribution to Australian workplace law and has a reputation for providing pragmatic and effective advice," said Hor.
Dent joins Hor and fellow founding director Nichola Constant, bringing the total PCS team to 12 lawyers, in addition to the consulting services of workplace law academic professor Joellen Riley.
Since opening its doors in late 2010, PCS has secured the business of over 220 Australian employers, including Mars, Coca-Cola, Cochlear, DB Schenker and the Reserve Bank.
"PCS has demonstrated the corporate market responds well to a value proposition based on partnership and comprehensive legal solutions," said Hor, adding that his firm offers services that go beyond the realms of "traditional law firms".
