W+K's Perth branch, announced in July, increases the firm's number of offices around Australia to four.

Since opening in Sydney 13 years ago, Wotton + Kearney has grown substantially, with a Melbourne office opening in 2008 and a Brisbane office in 2013.

The Perth team will be led by partner Riaan Piek and will include associate Louise Coleman, who will be joined by senior associate Joanne Wakely next year.

Mr Piek has experience in dispute resolution and claims advice across professional indemnity, financial lines, public and products liability, construction and property/ISR.

Ashurst moved offices to the recently-developed Brookfield Tower 2 on Monday. Ashurst's Perth office managing partner Adrian Chai said this is the first time the Perth office has been in a “custom built home”.

“The space has been designed with interaction and collaboration in mind, not only within our Perth operations but with our global network,” he said.

"It is an investment in providing the best possible work environment for our people, and the best possible facilities for our clients to meet and interact with our lawyers."
