The firm has added lawyers Judith Hishon (disputes and litigation), Esteban Gomez and Michael Cook (corporate) and Amanda Khoo and Simon Playford (commercial), as well as Matt Narayan as a business process analyst for its operation team.

Law Squared director Demetrio Zema said that he is delighted to welcome six experienced and recognised professionals to the firm.

“It’s been a fantastic start to the year here at Law Squared, topped off by the introduction of these six highly talented and capable individuals who will ensure that we continue to grow and develop as a business,” he said.

“We are really starting to reap the rewards of our hard work over the first five years of the business, and we are now in a unique position, whereby we are working with some of Australia’s leading listed and unlisted businesses, and attracting some exceptional new talent to the firm.”

The introduction of the six individuals to the firm has meant that Law Squared has been able to grow its team in Brisbane to seven.

“While we have always had a presence in Brisbane for four years now, it is great to grow our national footprint, attracting talent in any of our three jurisdictions to enable service delivery across our clients Australia wide, irrespective of where jurisdictionally our team is located,” Mr Zema said.

He also noted that he is thrilled to expand the firm’s operations team.

“At Law Squared we’ve always believed in investing in our operations team and unlike traditional law firms, we ensure that operations remain central and at the heart of our firm, not cast to the side as support for lawyers,” he proclaimed.

“With a business systems transformation underway and a new Melbourne office due to come online in July, investing in people such as Matt has been instrumental in ensuring we are developing a leading technology solution that best suits our clients’ needs and that of the firm.”

The six hires bring the firm to 27 professionals, and it is still hiring.
