Clyde & Co has announced major changes to its management in the Asia-Pacific region to take effect on 1 May.

Hong Kong-based partners Gloria Jones and Simon McConnell (pictured) will be joining the Clyde & Co’s APAC management board.

The firms’ APAC region includes offices in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Mongolia and Singapore. These changes will affect lawyers working in the firm's Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney offices.

Ms Jones has been with Clyde & Co since she was a trainee solicitor. She is a partner in the insurance practice and specialises in contentious insurance work, and dispute resolution.

Mr McConnell joined the firm in 2012 and has extensive management experience. His practice covers insurance, dispute resolution, regulatory investigations and employment law.

Mr McConnell is also taking up the role of managing partner in Hong Kong as the current Hong Kong managing partner, Michael Parker, moves to the firm's Singapore office to take up a leadership role there.

Mr Parker's move follows the announcement that the current Singapore managing partner, Brian Nash, is stepping down from the partnership to become a consultant.

In addition, Ik Wei Chong has been appointed managing director Asia and will split his time between the Shanghai and Singapore offices.
