A couple embroiled in the beleaguered Storm Financial collapse through their investment in it are now demanding an inquiry to stop the same thing ever happening again.

ABC News reports this morning that former Storm investors Murray and Vivienne Withers have met with chairman of the parliamentary inquiry into financial services in Townsville, in north Queensland in an effort to come to terms with the Storm collapse.

The couple say they still owe $370,000 on their house and another $10,000 on a margin loan. And they are not sure who to blame.

"Storm weren't working for their clients and in turn, the Commonwealth Bank were in bed with each other," Vivienne said.

"The bank's blaming Storm and Storm is blaming the banks and somebody is not telling the truth and hopefully ASIC will find out the truth," the ABC reported.
