Russell Kennedy hires new head of private clients
Melbourne-based mid-tier firm Russell Kennedy has announced it has appointed an experienced wills and estates lawyer, and former teacher, to lead its private clients practice.
Russell Kennedy principal Rohan Harris said he was delighted with the appointment of special counsel Michael Clohesy, who started his career as a teacher before being admitted in 2007.

“Michael is highly respected and brings with him the necessary skills to deliver high-quality services and advice to our clients,” he said.
“Russell Kennedy provides comprehensive advice in private estate and trust law, estate disputes and personal business succession planning. We are excited about what Michael will bring to our team.”
The firm’s managing director, Paul Gleeson, added that the appointment demonstrates a commitment to recruiting high-calibre talent in line with the firm’s growth strategy.
“With Michael’s appointment we continue to build on our areas of focus and develop our diversity of talent, having also just appointed Jos Mulcahy, construction principal, in May this year,” he said.
The firm noted that it continues to expand within the commercial space, which has “presented significant challenges and opportunities”.
