Small business lender makes $31m capital raising

HopgoodGanim Lawyers has advised small business lender Lumi Financial Holdings Limited on a component of its latest capital raising, worth $31.5 million.

Deal: Lumi Financial Holdings Limited (Lumi) has been advised by HopgoodGanim on the equity component of its capital raising.

Value: $31.5 million

Area: Finance

Key players: The HopgoodGanim legal team was led by partner Michele Muscillo, with assistance from senior associate Luke Dawson, solicitor Billy Young and analyst Christopher Dudurovic.

Deal significance: Lumi is a small-business lender founded by CEO Yanir Yakutiel.

In its capital raising, HopgoodGanim Lawyers advised Lumi in respect of the $6.5 million equity component of the $31.5 million capital raising, with Lumi sourcing $25 million in debt from specialist Israeli credit fund Arbel Fund, according to a statement from HopgoodGanim.
