Deal: The Kean family’s Adelaide BMW dealership and associated MINI dealership business has been sold to publicly listed automotive group, AP Eagers.

Key players: The marshalls+dent+wilmoth team was led by senior commercial and property partner Jeffrey Pinch, with assistance by senior associate Josh Kaplan.
Deal significance: According to a statement from the firm, the Adelaide BMW represented the last remaining major asset held by the late Vin Kean, “who was a legend of the automotive industry [and] who enjoyed a 61 year career in car retailing”.
It is also the sole BMW dealership in Adelaide, the firm said.
“We are delighted to have advised on this transaction and congratulate the Kean family on their magnificent contribution to the Australian automotive industry,” partner Jeffrey Pinch added.
