As an international legal network, the ILN’s membership includes recognised and leading mid-size law firms, particularly those with international-facing activities and needs beyond their domestic market.

Kalus Kenny Intelex (KKI) said it had drawn a significant appeal to the network’s presence now in 67 countries spanning across several practice areas and speciality groups.

KKI said it was a perfect fit as they had expanded its operational reach into numerous overseas markets as well as being driven by a private client base that increasingly required astute advice and understanding of overseas jurisdictions for commercial transactions and operational activity.

Senior partner at Kalus Kenny Intelex, Sven Burchartz, said it was an important evolution for the boutique firm, and recognised the growing level of commercial advisory and legal engagement its team was now delivering in a range of practice areas locally as well as beyond Australia’s shores.

“For KKI, being a part of a strong and highly reputable global network of law firms allows us to provide even more scope to add value and guidance to our clients and their lives,” Mr Burchartz said.

The International Lawyers Network said it was thrilled to welcome a new Australian-based member firm.

Lindsay Griffiths, International Lawyers Network’s executive director, said they were pleased to be welcoming “such a nimble and strategic firm in Melbourne.”

“KKI has hit the ground running with our membership, and we know that they will only continue to add value to the ILN,” she said.

“Their lawyers offer outstanding commercial and legal experience in several key industries, providing clear, commercial advice and strategies.”

Since 2011, the ILN has been listed as a Chambers and Partners Leading Law Firm Network. Today, the ILN remains at the very forefront of legal networks in its reach, capability and depth of expertise.
