According to a statement from Maddocks, Ms Byrne brings to the firm vast experience advising on dispute resolution and litigation matters for government and private sector clients. She has expertise in complex, politically sensitive and significant dispute resolution, litigation, investigations, regulatory compliance, administrative and public law work, the firm said.
Maddocks chairman Mark Henry said the appointment of Ms Byrne comes as the firm looks to continue to grow its Canberra office and its national Commonwealth practice.
"In just eight years we have seen our Canberra office grow from two people to more than 40. We have also seen our national Commonwealth practice go from strength to strength in that time," Mr Henry said.
"With this growth comes the ability to attract outstanding talent in the Commonwealth market, such as Rosalie. We are very excited to be able to welcome Rosalie to Maddocks."
Commenting further, Maddocks partner and Commonwealth sector leader Simonetta Astolfi said, "Rosalie is an experienced and trusted litigator who is well known in the Commonwealth market".
"She will supplement our national Commonwealth litigation team brilliantly."
