DAMIAN GRAVE has been appointed as Freehills’ new head of litigation. Grave has more than 17 years’ experience in commercial litigation and has been a partner at the firm since 1997. He has acted for leading Australian-listed companies and governments in a broad advisory capacity, and in major commercial disputes and investigations.

He has particular expertise in class actions and co-authored Australia’s first text on the subject entitled, Class Actions in Australia.

Grave takes over from Keith Steele, who has returned to full-time legal practise after holding the position for three years.
