ADELAIDE-BASED firm Wallmans Lawyers has appointed Victoria Shute as a solicitor in its local government team.

 
 

Shute will advise councils on planning and environmental issues and on issues relevant to local government practices and procedures in general.

Before joining Wallmans she had practised in a specialist development and environmental law firm. She has also worked as a judicial associate in the Environment, Resources and Development Court.

She has considerable experience advising on planning, environment and resource management issues such as waste, native vegetation protection, landfill, pollution liability and water resources. She has also represented councils in appeals, enforcement proceedings and prosecutions.
