BOLSTERING ITS construction expertise, Mallesons Stephen Jaques has appointed two partners in Perth and Brisbane.

 
 

A construction and engineering law specialist, Simon Lee has been promoted to partner in the firm's Perth office. Lee advises on tender and contract negotiations and documentation, financial issues concerning construction and engineering projects, contract administration and risk analysis, assessment and management. He also has expertise in all forms of construction dispute resolution, and has acted and advised on a range of disputes including both contractual and non-contractual claims, business interruption and economic loss claims.

Scott Budd has joined the firm’s Brisbane office from Minter Ellison. Budd specialises in front end project work, risk analysis and the development of delivery systems, contract drafting, tender preparation, bid assessment and advice. He has particular expertise in infrastructure delivery, with emphasis on public-private partnerships. He advises a broad range of clients including government, private sector proponents, contractors, financiers, owner groups and industry professionals.

According to the firm, Mallesons now has Australia’s second largest construction law practice.
