Hamilton Locke bolsters corporate team

Hamilton Locke has bolstered its partner numbers to 26 with the appointment of a new partner based in its Sydney office.

New partner Jo Ruitenberg joins Hamilton Locke from King & Wood Mallesons, where she specialised in M&A and joint ventures with specific expertise advising clients on trade sales, dual tracks, ASX listings, and takeover strategies.

 
 

Ms Ruitenberg has navigated several multi-jurisdictional transactions and works to ensure all parties are satisfied with the outcome. She also has extensive experience helping boards navigate regulatory environments and disclosure obligations.

Commenting on the appointment, managing partner Nick Humphrey said: “We are excited to welcome Jo to the firm and grow our corporate practice. Her appointment is an exciting next step for the firm as we continue to build our full-service offering.”

Ms Ruitenberg has extensive experience working with clients across a range of industry sectors, including financial services, industrials and healthcare.

She has previously worked in Hong Kong, where she enhanced her international capability helping clients implement their acquisitions and divestment strategies in the Asian market and advised on listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
