Commercial law firm Hicksons, which has offices in Sydney and Newcastle, has elevated 21, including one partner, two special counsel, five senior associates, and 13 associates.
This news comes after the firm promoted four lawyers in December, after the hire of a partner and senior associate from Kordos Scanlan in November last year.
Workers compensation lawyer and new partner Jennifer Doyle has extensive experience advising insurance clients on workplace injury, and she was previously special counsel at the firm for two years.
Melina Gregoire and Meesha McLeod from the firm’s health practice have both been promoted to special counsel.
Five lawyers have also been promoted to senior associate: Laura Charlton, Emily Gorry, Kali McCoy, Declan Rainer and Samantha Wrigley.
The new associates are Talia Srage, Peggy Chung, David Kim, Miriam Lai, Bridget Shields, Lucy Stafford, Demi To, Lloyd Carman, Courtney Dudgeon, Holly Easey, Ninorta Gabriel, Oliver Gilmour and Luke Rogers.
Commenting on the promotions, Hicksons’ managing partner, Stewart Cameron, said the firm was continuing to invest in the development of internal talent.
“We are a people-first firm, and this involves investing in the development and progression of our people as we continue to expand and adapt to our clients’ changing needs,” he said.
“We are delighted to recognise the exceptional talent and efforts of our newly promoted team members. A warm congratulations to all.”
