Dirk Branford (pictured) has joined Aaron McDonald, Elizabeth McLean, and Nick Malone as a director of Pragma Lawyers.
He is, the firm said in a statement, a “highly credentialed” senior litigation and international arbitration practitioner with over 25 years of experience overseas and within Australia who advises on complex litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters and has particular experience within the energy and resources industry.
He has worked at Pragma since 2022 and, in that time, has “brought extra depth” to Pragma’s service offering and has been a “significant contributor” to its “unceasing success” in state and federal courts, the firm said.
The news follows the firm’s merger with Perth-based law firm Gramercy Legal in April of this year.
Speaking about the appointment, Pragma founding director Aaron McDonald said: “Dirk is an integral part of the team.
“His technical skills assist our clients to resolve and avoid disputes so they can focus on more important things. We are delighted to have him on our board.“
