Addisons has elevated Renee Shipp (pictured) to the partnership ranks, recognising her more than two decades of service with the firm.

In a statement, the firm highlighted Shipp’s extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, noting her deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial contracts, and Australian Consumer Law.

Managing partner Kieren Parker praised her promotion, stating: “It is always a moment of pride to see a home-grown colleague join the partnership.

“This is very well deserved and recognition of the qualities that Renee brings to Addisons and to clients – she is an excellent lawyer, a commercial problem-solver and a natural collaborator.”

Shipp’s appointment brings the Sydney-based firm’s partnership to 25, with nearly half of its partners having risen through the firm’s internal promotion pipeline.

In addition to Shipp’s promotion, Addisons has also promoted five of its lawyers to more senior positions.

The three elevated to special counsel include Lee Cone (environment and planning), Jonathan Du (property), and Anna Lindeman-Jones (environment and planning).

The two lawyers who have been appointed as senior associates are Ellen Anderson (media) and Samuel Siskovic (property).

Addisons expressed that this round of senior promotions is reflective of the “quality of our people and successful client outcomes”.

Parker said: “In recognition of the strength of our legal talent, I’m excited to announce our senior lawyer promotions across the firm from 1 July 2025. We promote based on ability and values, and our newly promoted lawyers have taken every opportunity to stretch their skills and thrive.”
