Sam Manikis (pictured) has been appointed special counsel in Baybridge Lawyers’ property team, a move the Sydney-based boutique firm said will strengthen its capabilities across commercial, retail, and industrial property matters.

With more than 20 years of experience, Manikis has guided clients through major acquisitions, high-value leasing, complex conveyancing, and large-scale development projects.

In a statement, Baybridge Lawyers noted that over his career, Manikis has advised on off-the-plan projects, option arrangements, asset sales, multi-site portfolios, and complex property disputes, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of the full life cycle of property transactions.

Before joining the Sydney-based boutique firm, Manikis served as special counsel at Polczynski Robinson for over a year, at Eakin McCaffery Cox for more than two years, and worked as a solicitor at William Roberts Lawyers for close to two years.

Marwan Kojok, the CEO and managing director of Baybridge Lawyers, expressed how Manikis brings a rare blend of transactional experience and practical judgement, whose skill in handling complex property matters and commercial pressures makes him a significant asset to the firm.

“Sam brings a rare combination of deep transactional experience and practical judgement. He understands not only the legal complexity of large-scale property matters but also the commercial dynamics that drive them,” Kojok said.

“His ability to stay composed under pressure and move transactions forward strategically will be of immense value to our clients. We are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”

Speaking about his new role, Manikis expressed his enthusiasm for joining Baybridge at a time of strong momentum and contributing to the firm’s growth, while helping clients navigate complex property deals with confidence and clarity.

“Baybridge has built a reputation for combining technical excellence with an understanding of what truly matters to clients in high-stakes property transactions,” Manikis said.

“I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s growth and working closely with clients to help them navigate complex deals with confidence and clarity.”
