A Utah company has developed a product that promises to meet the dreams of every sleep-deprived lawyer - the pillow tie.
The inflatable pillow tie, according to the company's website www.pillowtie.com, is an essential item because "most functions that require a necktie deserve to be slept through". The tie can be inflated simply through a valve "in less than a breath" but in case how it works was not obvious, the website provides a three step demonstration with the third step labelled "zzz...zzz...zzz".
The tie, available in a number of different designs, is made of a microfibre/silk blend for ultimate comfort, removing the risk of those telltale sleep lines that often give away a quick office nap.
With this new product, lawyers around the world can now rest comfortably on their desk during long, boring conference calls, sneak in a nap during long nights at the office, and sleep comfortably to and from work.
But the pillow tie can be used anywhere, anytime. The pillow tie website provides a slideshow of examples of where to use the tie, including a photo of one happy pillow tie owner who took a quick nap during a tour of a US national park.
The pillow-tie may not meet the desires of the fashion conscious lawyer but it does not wrinkle easily, has the look and style of silk with the durability of microfibre and can hold up to 25 pounds (11kgs) - reassuring to those with a particularly heavy head.
Unfortunately for females, unless they decide to start wearing ties they will not be able to embrace this napping revolution and will have to resort to napping under their desks. However Folkaw predicts the "inflatable pillow handbag' will become the next must-have item.
