Ron Heinrich AM has spent much of his life using his voice and position to defend the rule of law.

The boy from the wheat-covered hills of Temora rose through the ranks of Australia’s professional associations to represent his state, as president of the NSW Law Society, his country, as president of the Law Council of Australia, and the world, as president of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association.

In this video interview, Stephanie Quine speaks to the TressCox Lawyers veteran about his work in defending the rights of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and his role in abolishing corporate punishment and defending LGBT rights.

To read a profile article on Ron, see Lawyers Weekly magazine this Friday (19 April).
