Kelly & Co. confirmed today it has appointed 38-year-old Jamie Restas as its chairman of partners.

Restas has specific expertise in M&A, capital raisings and general corporate advice. In his new role he will work closely with the firm's chief executive officer, Stuart Price.

“Jamie brings a lot of drive to the boardroom and I look forward to working with him on realising our goal of being the best law firm in South Australia,” Price said.

Restas is currently working on several major corporate transactions and will continue to drive the firm's M&A practice, which Price said been a major contributor to the firm’s growth in recent years.

Restas has been a partner at Kelly & Co. for seven years. He takes over from Michael Durrant who elected to stand down from the role of Chairman after nearly three years in the role.

“We came through the GFC well and the future looks bright. Jamie will bring great energy to the position and is an excellent appointment,” said Durrant, who will continue as a senior partner in the firm's energy and resources practice.
