A national law firm has bolstered its network by announcing the appointment of a new special counsel, who has relocated back to Australia for the job after spending time working in Hong Kong.
Barry.Nilsson. has welcomed Angie Todd (pictured) to the role of special counsel. She will be based in the firm’s Brisbane office.

Qualified to practise in both Australia and Hong Kong, Ms Todd brings to her new role more than 14 years’ experience, with eight of those years spent building expertise in international family law matters.
She has advised on extensive cross-border divorces, global asset tracing, and the international relocation and removal of children.
Ms Todd joins Barry.Nilsson. from international law firm Withersworldwide. Prior to this, she was employed at Hampton, Winter and Glynn. Ms Todd also worked in the tax division at KPMG, when she was based in Sydney for five years.
Barry.Nilsson. managing partner Don Leembruggen congratulated Ms Todd on her new role, saying her experience in family law will be a huge value-add to the firm’s practice in this space.

Commenting on her new role, Ms Todd said, “Divorces, relationship breakdowns and custody battles crossing jurisdictions are now becoming all too common and increasingly complicated. That’s what attracted me to join a national first tier family and divorce firm.”
