Cutler Hughes & Harris has appointed three senior associates in an effort to expand its property and tax divisions. Karen Tyshkovksy advises on all aspects of commercial property including residential, commercial and industrial property development, acquisition, disposals and leasing. She has acted on major strata/stratum and community title subdivisions and provides general advice to the public and private sectors. Tyshkovksy works for some of Australia’s largest property owners.

Bernadette Duell is a tax specialist and advisor on income tax, capital gains tax, GST and stamp duty. Her clients include Australian and multinational companies (both public and private), trusts, high net worth individuals, government bodies, charities and other non-profit organisations. Duell has experience in advising on tax effective business structures and disposals and acquisitions of property, advising on employment-related matters, drafting tax ruling applications, drafting submissions to government regarding proposed changes to the tax law, and establishing charities. She is a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and is finalising her Master of Laws at the University of Sydney.

Senior associate Isabella Wong specialises in tax. Having joined the firm in 2001, she advises on income tax, transactional taxes (CGT, GST and stamp duty), fringe benefits tax and superannuation; she assists clients in effective superannuation planning, and designing and setting up appropriate types of pensions. Wong's clients include other advisers, such as accountants and financial advisers, public and private companies, charities and high net worth individuals. Prior to joining Cutler Hughes & Harris, she was part of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu indirect tax team for three years, specialising in GST and fringe benefits tax.
