TressCox Lawyers has appointed Andrew Dewsnap to lead the national PPP practice. Dewsnap practised for 10 years in London and three years in Singapore prior to joining TressCox, and was previously a partner at PinsentMasons.

Paul Evans has joined Home Wilkinson Lowrys national litigation team as a partner based in the firm’s Brisbane office. The firm said he is a highly experienced commercial litigator specialising in disputes involving insolvency and forensic law for organisations including major banks, financiers, insurers, construction groups, accounting and insolvency firms.

Dibbs Abbott Stillman has continued its recruitment drive, announcing the appointment of Jim Holding as partner in the Brisbane office. Holding practises in the corporate advisory group, and specifically the firm’s government, corporate and commercial practice areas.

Doug Jones AM, head of Clayton Utz s major projects, international arbitration and construction practices, has been appointed as chairman of the London-based Chartered Institute of Arbitrators’ Board of Trustees, effective from January 2006. The appointment follows Jones’ election in January this year as the 12-member board’s only Australasian representative and the first Australian member.
