Michael Shannon

Commercial law firm Clarke and Kann has appointed two senior associates within its corporate & commercial group. Michael Shannon has legal experience in all aspects of banking and finance law, corporate and commercial law, companies and securities legislation and capital markets transactions. Samantha Brown has experience in the telecommunications, technology and e-commerce spheres.

Danielle Adams

Danielle Adams has recently joined Bain Gasteen Lawyers as a solicitor in the firm’s commercial litigation group. She focuses on commercial and insurance litigation but her experience also includes corporate law, bankruptcy and insolvency. Prior to joining Bain Gasteen, Adams worked for the federal Department of the Treasury and the Australian Government Solicitor in Canberra.

Matthew Raven

Matthew Raven has been promoted to partner in Gadens Lawyers property and commercial services group. The group has also appointed planning and environment expert Stafford Hopewell as a consultant. Prior to joining Gadens, Stafford was a principal planner with the Queensland Department of Local Government and Planning.

David Miller has also been appointed as special counsel to the firm’s workplace relations group.

Clayton Utz has appointed stamp duty, GST and taxation lawyer David Klarich as a partner in the firm’s national banking and financial services group. Klarich has 18 years experience in advising on the revenue laws of the Commonwealth and of each Australian state and territory. He joins Clayton Utz from Gadens Lawyers, where he was a partner.

Daniel Levy (formerly of Blake Dawson Waldron, Mallesons Stephen Jaques and Andrew Fairley & Associates) has established a new law firm, Greenfields Financial Services Lawyers, practising solely in financial services including superannuation and funds management.
