PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal has appointed Kevin ORourke as the firm’s new CEO. The appointment will be effective from 1 April. O’Rourke previously headed up PwC’s indirect tax practice. He will take over from former CEO Bob Wicht, who is retiring after a long career with the firm and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Clayton Utz Brisbane has appointed a new partner and a senior associate. Keira Brennan has joined the firm’s energy and resources group. She is experienced in the resources industry, particularly in gas, coal, gold and base metals sector, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. She was formerly a partner at Minter Ellison.

Majella Pollard has also joined the firm’s Brisbane office as a senior associate with Barry Dunphy’s government services group. She has moved from Crown Law and has experience in providing strategic advice to a number of key government departments.

Adelaide legal firm Lynch Meyer has appointed Melanie Fuss and Marc Duncan as associates in the firm’s commercial division. Fuss and Duncan both specialise in major property and development contracts, and have worked on some of Adelaide’s largest recent developments.

Anthony Lenehan has joined Sydney Airport Corporation Limited as a senior corporate lawyer. Lenehan was previously a senior associate with Acuiti Legal for over six years where he specialised in property development, project funding and commercial property.

International trade counsel Matthew J. McConkey is to relocate to Coudert Brothers’ Beijing office, starting on 1 June. He is currently resident in the firm’s Washington, DC office. McConkey was formerly with the Office of the Chief Counsel of the US Customs Service, where he worked as an attorney prior to moving into private practice.

International law firm Allen & Overy is relocating partner Angus Ross from the firm’s banking and finance litigation group in London to its litigation and dispute resolution department in Hong Kong. Qualified in England and Wales, New South Wales and South Australia, Angus has advised some of the firm’s most important clients on complex disputes in the areas of banking and finance, fraud and asset tracing, insolvency and insurance since joining the firm in 1999.
