Michael Chaaya joins the firm's corporate advisory capacity practice in Sydney as a partner.

He brings to Corrs more than 11 years' experience in wealth management, advising some of Australia's top financial services entities and product providers.

His clients include specialist find managers (domestic and foreign), leading banks and other financial services providers, life insurance companies, administrators, custodians and trustees of superannuation funds.

Chaaya is also heavily involved in pro bono activities and access to justice issues. He was a finalist for the Law and Justice Foundation NSW Justice Medal in 2007 and won the Australian Centenary medal for service to the law, youth and community in 2003. He is a director on the board of the National Children's Youth & Law Centre.
