Hicksons | Hunt & Hunt | Holman Webb has strengthened its partnership with the appointment of a former Moray & Agnew partner in its Newcastle office.
Megan Palmer is an experienced litigator with extensive expertise in complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with experience spanning across building and construction disputes, property-related litigation, strata law and commercial recoveries for clients, including insurers.
Before joining Hicksons | Hunt & Hunt | Holman Webb as partner, Palmer previously worked at Moray & Agnew in the Newcastle region for 15 years, serving as partner for four years and special counsel for 11.
The promotion comes after Hicksons | Hunt & Hunt | Holman Webb elevated 18 lawyers, including three to its partnership, as part of the firm’s broader growth strategy.
Managing partner Cameron Leaver spoke about Palmer’s appointment, recognising her diverse level of experience.
“Megan is an outstanding lawyer who is highly regarded for her work in complex construction litigation and multi-party disputes,” Leaver said.
“Her appointment reflects our strategic focus on deepening our capabilities across key sectors, and will strengthen our ability to provide market-leading advice to our national clients.”
Speaking to Lawyers Weekly, Palmer said the move presented an exciting opportunity to build on the firm’s existing strengths, work alongside its experienced practitioners and play a key role in expanding its capabilities in the building and construction space.

“The firm’s footprint creates real opportunities to service clients on larger, more complex multi-party disputes.

On a recent podcast, fellow partner David Fischl reaffirmed that the firm’s prominent focus is on maintaining the core skills of strong legal judgement, curiosity, adaptability, and an ability to build trusted relationships with clients, particularly as technology continues to reshape the profession.
Palmer’s appointment brings the total number of partners at Hicksons | Hunt & Hunt | Holman Webb to 49.
