Meridian Lawyers adds experienced insurance and construction litigator

Based in Melbourne, Stojanovich joins from Lander & Rogers, where she commenced as a special counsel in 2017 and was promoted to partner just two years later, leading a team of specialist construction and insurance lawyers.

An experienced insurance and construction litigator, Stojanovich has more than 15 years of experience in defending complex professional indemnity claims, including matters that involve non-compliant building products and flammable cladding.

Stojanovich acts for Australian and London insurers, reinsurers, listed and multinational companies, statutory authorities, government departments and councils.

In her experience, she has covered disputes involving architects, engineers, building surveyors, builders, valuers and real estate agents, and includes defending professionals in disciplinary proceedings, advising on complex liability matters and insurance recovery matters.

Stojanovich has run matters in the federal, supreme, and county courts, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and defended class actions.

Joining the Melbourne practice with an official start date of 31 August, Stojanovich will join principal lawyers, Marcus O’Brien, Robert Crittenden, Stephanie Weeks, Matthew Pokarier, Jacinta Long and Cameron Solley as part of the senior leadership team for Meridian’s national professional and financial risks group.
