Blake Dawson has appointed Jason Lambeth as a partner in its corporate practice in Sydney.

A partner at Gilbert + Tobin since 2007, Lambeth has extensive experience in regulated mergers and acquisitions having worked on a range of commercial and corporate matters including listed company takeovers, Takeovers Panel proceedings, acquisitions and disposals of private companies and businesses, joint ventures and corporate governance matters.

During his time at Gilbert + Tobin, Lambeth worked on significant transactions including GrainCorp's proposed merger with AWB and Westpac Banking Corporation's $47 billion merger with St. George Bank.

"Jason is a first class lawyer and we are delighted that he will be adding to the strength of our M&A team," said Blakes corporate practice leader Nick Terry.
