David Morfesi has been appointed to the firm's practice in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

With 10 years experience working for the US government as a senior IP advisor, Morfesi has consulted with governments and industry from around the world and trained officials from more than 120 countries.

He has negotiated the IP aspects of 15 bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements (FTA), including the Australia - US FTA, and served as senior director for IP and innovation with the Office of the US Trade Representative in the Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC.

From 2002 to 2009, Morfesi was an Attorney-Advisor with the US Patent and Trademark Office and more recently advised in the US Mission to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva. .

Morfesi's practice will now focus on assisting Minters' government clients and clients with cross-jurisdictional business operations in relation to IP and international trade issues.
