National firm crowned leader in APAC
The Legal 500 has named Corrs Chambers Westgarth the leading firm in both Australia and the Asia-Pacific region in its latest report.

A new report released by The Legal 500 has place Corrs Chambers Westgarth in the number one position based on research with more than 9,000 respondents.

Corrs CEO John Denton AO (pictured) said the result reflected the firm’s investment in client-driven strategy.
“This research demonstrates that Corrs’ commitment to truly understand our clients and their business needs is resonating,” Mr Denton said.
“We go beyond the traditional expectations of a law firm to ensure that we are offering our clients not just first-class legal advice, but a partnership and commitment to helping them achieve success – both on a national and global scale,” he said.
Dentons came in at number two, with Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Gilbert + Tobin, MinterEllison and Herbert Smith Freehills also making the top 10.
In-house lawyers and clients from 118 countries scored law firms according to three key performance indicators. Of that group, The Legal 500 surveyed 226 general counsel in Australia, whose accumulated legal spend totals around $3.2 billion per year.
The latest report analysed scores given to law firms for client relationship skills, technical legal ability and project management.
