Allen & Overy has signed up to e-discovery platform, RelativityOne, in a bid to make the task more manageable, efficient and insightful.

The platform will allow A&O to run a secure e-discovery solution in the cloud, and enable the firm to gain insights and drive effective outcomes sooner.

“The future of litigation lies in technology and how we harness it in conjunction with legal expertise to meet the clients’ litigation challenges – striking the optimal balance between cost, risk and quality,” said A&O head of e-discovery, Scott Robson.

“A&O’s e-discovery business is taking the first step in meeting this challenge by rolling out our combined legal and technology methodology – offering RelativityOne – to our clients across the globe.”

A&O partner Calum Burnett offered a similar sentiment, noting the firm was excited to work with Relativity on the implementation of its product.

“This addition to our Advanced Delivery services will ensure that our lawyers and clients remain at the forefront of technological innovation,” Mr Burnett said.

“As a firm, we are focussed on investing in technology and working practices that support our eDiscovery business.

“As volumes of data and information continue to increase, we need a secure, advanced platform with scalability and world class support to meet that challenge and we have no doubt that RelativityOne will provide us with the right solution.”

Steve Couling, VP of International of Relativity, said the company is thrilled that Allen & Overy is beginning to offer RelativityOne to its clients across the globe.

“Our secure and scalable SaaS platform gives Allen & Overy the ability to offer their clients fully-customized solutions that best suit their unique workflows across every stage of the e-discovery process,” Mr Couling said.

“We look forward to working with the team as they continue to expand their Advanced Delivery services.”
