JWS gains DLA Piper lawyer

Johnson Winter & Slattery has enhanced its corporate advisory team with the hiring of a new specialist, who joins from DLA Piper.

Amit Jois has been welcomed to JWS’s Brisbane-based corporate advisory practice, bringing with him vast experience in the practice area.

Mr Jois is an Australian and US qualified M&A and corporate advisory specialist who throughout his career has advised both companies and investors on strategic public takeovers and schemes of arrangement, private acquisitions and disposals (including competitive sales processes), restructures, strategic alliances and joint ventures.

Furthermore, Ms Jois has extensive industrials sector experience with particular focus on agribusiness, energy and fuels, transport and logistics and the food industry, a statement from the firm said.

“We are delighted to have Amit on board, bringing a wealth of experience in corporate advisory transactions,” said national managing partner Peter Slattery.
