Suncorp advised on sale of Resilium

Australian insurer Suncorp has been advised on the sale of its authorised representative network, Resilium, through a management buyout.

Deal: Suncorp has sold authorised representative network Resilium, so that the network can operate independently.

Value: Undisclosed

Area: Corporate

Key players: The DLA team was led by Brisbane corporate partner Lyndon Masters with partners Samantha O’Brien and David Lyons, senior associate Adrian Tan, foreign legal associate Kimberly Eichorn and solicitors Elizabeth Campbell, Cassian Ho, Ellie Harding and Ann-Marie Coleman.

Deal significance: Mr Masters said: “We are pleased to partner with Suncorp on this sale, which will see Resilium operate independently, while maintaining a strategic alliance with Suncorp. As a standalone business, Resilium will further invest in products and services to better meet the needs of its customers, which is a positive outcome for sector.”
