Clifford Chance promotes Aussie counsel
International firm Clifford Chance has made three promotions to the position of counsel across its Australian offices.

The announcement from the firm formed part of a wider statement which applauded 11 new counsel and consultant appointments across the Asia-Pacific.

The three Australians named as counsel were litigation and dispute resolution team members Sean Marriott (Perth), and Jason Oliver (Sydney) alongside corporate team member Jonathan Halliwell (Sydney).
Other promotions to counsel and consultant occurred across Clifford Chance’s offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.
Commenting on the announcement, Clifford Chance’s regional managing partner of Asia-Pacific Geraint Hughes gave “congratulations to this exceptional group of lawyers and for their professionalism and commitment to their teams and our clients”.
It follows the firm’s recent announcement regarding the promotion of 30 partners worldwide.
