PEP nabs Horizon Global’s APAC arm

Allens has advised Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) on its acquisition of Horizon Global Corporation’s Asia-Pacific business.

Deal: Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) has acquired Horizon Global's APAC business.

Value: $340 million.

For corporate: Tom Story (partner), Noah Obradovic (managing associate), Jessica Mottau (managing associate), Keegan Lopez (senior associate), Alex Ortner (senior associate), Isabelle Guyot (senior associate), Michael Anthony (associate), Ollie L’Estrange (associate) and Andrew Mon (lawyer)

For banking and finance: Mark Kidston (partner), David Couper (managing associate), Tim Sexton (associate) and Chathurika Ravindra (law graduate)

For intellectual property: Joel Barrett (managing associate), Tommy Chen (senior associate) and Amelia van der Rijt (lawyer)

For tax: Joseph Power (partner) and Jay Prasad (senior associate)

For employment: Sikeli Ratu (managing associate)

Deal significance: PEP is described as a leading Australian-based private equity firm, which focuses on buyouts and late stage expansion capital in Australia and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Horizon Global is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of branded towing and trailering equipment.

“PEP is one of Allens longstanding clients and we are delighted to assist them [in] the successful acquisition of Horizon Globals Asia-Pacific business – a significant addition to their portfolio of investments in the region,” said Mr Story.
