Mr Walsh, who was most recently the CFO of Colin Biggers & Paisley and was previously in management roles within Herbert Smith Freehills, is the firm’s first CEO since last year’s retirement of managing partner Don Leembruggen.

His appointment is effective immediately. 

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Walsh said he is a “strong communicator” and is passionate about building teams and empowering staff.

The appointment of its new CEO follows Barry.Nilsson.’s promotion of five of its lawyers two weeks ago, including one associate, two senior associates, one special counsel as well as a new manager in their national shared services team.
