Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs has bolstered its capabilities with the appointment of Nicola Martin and her team of employment lawyers.
Nicola Martin joins Squire Patton Boggs this month, along with director Erin Kidd and associate Elisa Blakers, based in Sydney.
“Nicola’s passion for delivering effective solutions to clients is matched by her technical abilities and both make her a good fit for our integrated global employment practice,” said Caroline Noblet, global co-chair for labour & employment, Squire Patton Boggs.
Ms Martin said she was attracted to Squire Patton Boggs’ “extensive global platform and ability to service multinational clients across multiple markets”.
“I am excited to be joining a collaborative and agile firm,” she said, commenting off the back of her appointment.
“Last year was exceptional for employers across the globe and 2021 is shaping up to offer its own challenges. We are very much looking forward to supporting Squire Patton Boggs’ clients through these challenging times and beyond with on-the-pulse support.”
Campbell Davidson, Australian managing partner, noted that the appointment of Ms Martin comes part of the firm’s continued growth strategy. The past 20 months have seen it add 11 new partners to its Australian offices.
“We are very pleased to have Nicola and her team join us at a time when employment-related issues are front and centre for most businesses and organisations,” Mr Davidson said.
“Nicola’s expertise will be highly valued by our clients based in Australia and around the world.”
