Multiplex to deliver purpose-built quarantine accommodation
International law firm Allens has advised Multiplex on its bid to deliver an alternative quarantine accommodation hub based in Victoria.

Deal: Multiplex has made a successful bid to deliver to the federal government the Victorian Alternative Quarantine Accommodation Hub (National Resilience Centre) in Mickleham, Melbourne.
Value: Undisclosed.

Key players: The Allens team was led by partner David Donnelly, with support from senior associate Ben van Weel.
Deal significance: This deal secures Multiplex as the project’s head contractor.
“As head contractor, Multiplex will be responsible for delivering a new purpose-built centre to support Australia’s response to the current pandemic and any future pandemics,” a statement from Allens explained.
“Multiplex will work with a panel of modular contractors in order to ensure the design is delivered efficiently.”
Commenting further, Mr Donnelly said: “If there were ever a piece of critical infrastructure, this is it.
“We are very pleased to have teamed up with Multiplex again for this project which will be crucial in the continued response to COVID-19.”.
