A new external director has been appointed to the board of national law firm Clayton Utz, whom the firm’s chair has called a “valuable addition” to the team.
Elizabeth Hallett GAICD has been appointed as a further external director at the firm, with the three-year term officially taking effect on 1 January 2022.
In addition, Ms Hallett is also a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel and brings a wealth of industry and professional expertise to the Clayton Utz board, according to the firm. Ms Hallett also previously spent two decades as a partner at global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, where she was a member of its global leadership team.
She joins Jane Halton AO PSM as the second external director on the firm’s board.
Clayton Utz board chair Karen O’Flynn said that Ms Hallett’s experience would be a valuable addition to the current board.
“Elizabeth is energetic, incisive, personable, and understands the dynamics of law firms,” she said.
“Together with her extensive industry and governance experience, her background is an excellent fit for us.”
