Corrs nabs 2 partners from HSF
BigLaw firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed two employment and labour partners from rival Herbert Smith Freehills.
Kirsty Faichen and Anthony Longland are joining Corrs, in the firm’s Brisbane and Perth offices, respectively, bringing with them more than 35 years of combined experience.

Ms Faichen has more than 15 years of experience advising clients across Australia and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on the infrastructure, resources and government sectors, the firm said in a statement, while Mr Longland brings over 20 years of experience advising on significant matters across the mining and resources, energy generation, utilities and oil and gas sectors.
Speaking about the appointments, Corrs CEO Gavin MacLaren said: “Kirsty and Anthony both have very strong backgrounds in industrial relations, and their expertise will be helpful to our clients as they respond to changes in the way we work brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are delighted to have them join the Corrs partnership.”
Corrs head of employment and labour John Tuck added: “These partners are great additions to our team and follow on from the appointment of the Honourable Graeme Watson as an employment and labour partner earlier this year.”
