Hostplus merges with Intrust Super Fund
Hostplus, advised by Holding Redlich, and Intrust Super Fund have officially merged, creating a superannuation giant in a deal worth $3 billion.

Key players: The Holding Redlich team was led by partner Luke Hooper, who specialises in corporate and commercial law, superannuation, funds management and financial services.
Deal significance: As part of the acquisition, Hostplus will absorb InTrust Super’s members, employer clients and funds under management – including over 90,000 members, 25,000 employer clients, and $3 billion in funds under management.
Commenting on the deal, Mr Hooper said that “it was a privilege to act on behalf of Host-Plus on this transaction in a matter that involved a large team of superannuation, corporate/commercial and associated practice groups to help the parties reach this objective.”
