BigLaw firm Gilbert + Tobin has advised Australian bioanalytical laboratory business Agilex Biolabs on its acquisition by healthcare company Healius Limited.

Deal: Agilex, which has over 25 years of experience in performing regulated bioanalysis, has been acquired by Australian healthcare company Healius for an enterprise value of $301.3 million.

Key players: The G+T team was led by partner Tim Gordon, who was supported by lawyers Matthew Wheatley and Emily Fanning.
Deal significance: Speaking about the acquisition, Mr Gordon said: “We’ve seen incredible transactional activity over the last few years in the health space, both with financial sponsors and listed players.
“The acquisition by Healius is recognition of the wonderful business that Agilex has built in a critical sector, and we were grateful to be involved in this milestone transaction.”
