Commenting on his new role, Mr Wales said: “Having spent decades assisting law firms and building legal tech that streamlines workflows and increases operational efficiencies and profitability, I’m excited to join Xakia Technologies to help general counsel and in-house legal teams in driving forward the same.”
Xakia, a legal hub for a range of teams, provides legal matter management, legal intake and triage, legal spend and external counsel management, and legal data analytics and reporting. Globally, the company is the only multilingual platform, allowing legal team members to operate in the language of their choice.
Australian-based chief executive Jodie Baker said the growth of its client base in EMEA over the past year had demonstrated the need for an in-house management platform.
“Legal tech need not be costly and complex to deploy. Xakia removes adoption barriers and is democratising the technology, making it available to everyone, with ease of scalability, usability and affordability. Dan’s appointment will play a critical role in growing our business and supporting in-house legal teams,” Ms Baker said.
