“Proximity appealed to me as the firm works at the forefront of nation-changing projects, from the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, to Proximity’s role in delivering large scale defence projects – I felt I could add real value and contribute here.”

Previous roles for Ms Langdon include deputy secretary at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), chief executive of the Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and Licence, deputy commissioner of the Victorian Public Sector Commission, and Victorian Public Sector commissioner. Prior to her Proximity appointment, Ms Langdon was the Victorian Health complaints commissioner.

Given her expertise in leading change and reform agendas, Elizabeth will take on an active role in helping our Victorian government clients with change management, organisational planning, and transformation.”

Further explaining why she has chosen to work with Proximity, Ms Langdon stated: “In considering my next career step, I also looked for a private sector company with a positive culture focused on people. Proximity, I believe, is a good fit for me.”

She continued: “I am really looking forward to working with my new colleagues, in particular principal advisor, James Lavery, who is the client lead for the Victorian government.”
