Global law firm DLA Piper has advised design, engineering and advisory company Aurecon on the acquisition of Market Advisory Group.

Deal: Aureon has been advised on its acquisition of Market Advisory Group, which supports clients on carbon markets insights, trading advice and strategies, procurement strategies and carbon risk assessments.

Key players: The deal team was led by partner Jyoti Singh, who was supported by partners Fleur Gibbons, Rick Catanzariti, Emma Kendall, Adam Smith, senior associates Nicole Breschkin, Beth Cole and Simon Rimmelzwaan, and solicitors Cameron Jones and Davina Khoo.
Deal significance: “We were really pleased to advise Aurecon on this strategic acquisition which will complement Aurecon’s existing capability and enable it to provide an even broader offering to its clients,” said Ms Singh.
She said that the transaction would enable the client to provide new offerings, including advice and insights on carbon market dynamics and trading, carbon procurement strategies, carbon market risks and mitigation strategies, and analysis of policies and regulations.
