His expertise, the firm said, “spans a range of sectors”, including transport, water, mining, energy and renewables.
The news follows the firm’s opening of an office in Canberra with two partners who had come over from fellow BigLaw firm MinterEllison in August last year.
Speaking about the appointment, JWS managing partner Jeremy Davis said, “Michael is recognised as a leading construction and projects lawyer, and brings with him valuable commercial experience gained from his time at Boral and Wormald.”
“He is a highly regarded lawyer and will deepen our expertise on the east coast in line with growing client demand,” he said.
Mr Hogan added, “I’m excited to be joining JWS and its team of highly skilled lawyers.”
“The firm has built a very strong reputation in the market and I look forward to leveraging the team’s expertise to grow the practice,” he noted.
