McCabes hires team from HWL Ebsworth
National law firm McCabes has added its sixth new principal for the year to date and has continued to grow its insurance division with the appointment of a principal, an associate, and an administrative assistant from BigLaw rival HWL Ebsworth.

Nhu Huynh, who has been a partner at HWL Ebsworth since March 2019, is joining the insurance division at McCabes as a principal.
She will be located in the firm’s Brisbane office and has brought associate Sam Cooper, as well as an administrative assistant, to the growing national practice with her.
The news follows McCabes’ addition of four insurance principals in recent times, as first reported earlier this month by Lawyers Weekly.
It also follows the firm’s hiring of a corporate principal last month, its promotion of nine professionals late last year, its taking of a property team from Hunt & Hunt in July, and its elevation of 18 professionals in mid-2022.
McCabes managing principal Andrew Lacey said that Ms Huynh’s appointment is a “significant addition” to the firm.
